Berrimah Northcrest is currently an unincorporated area, with developer DCOH providing services while residents await formal council affiliation. The Minister for Local Government has committed to resolving this by the end of 2025, using community survey feedback to determine which council (Darwin, Palmerston, or Litchfield) will take responsibility.
Dr. Tanzil Rahman MLA has surveyed residents, with the data presented to the minister to inform the final decision, following a 10-year period of uncertainty.
